Every day I heard their voices.
Not this Katherine. Not this.
But I couldn't live like this anymore.
It wasn't fair to the little girl within me.
As I tried on my wedding dress one final time, the veil of denial finally lifted, and all of my truths were released in a flood of determined realization.
I broke free of the mask of the dutiful bride and gasping for precious air I declared, ENOUGH.
wedding, I called off a life that wasn't mine.
and as a result I became the most empowered and authentic iteration of me.
and without apology.
I got every single thing I wanted all along and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined.
By denying what's in your heart, you will miss out on the life you want.
change. You can call it off. You can call off whatever you have agreed to that doesn't fit your truest vision of self.
choice to make, and you know it.
Own what you want. Trust yourself. Listen to that voice inside and Just. Be You.
