Need an audiobook recommendation or beach read this summer?

I don’t know about you, but I feel like I blinked…and somehow it’s June.
Now don’t get me wrong—I love this time of year. Long golden evenings, barefoot mornings, farmer’s markets, patio dinners, lake swims, toddler giggles in the sprinkler…I’m here for all of it.
But let’s be honest: summer isn’t exactly the slow, dreamy season it used to be. Remember riding bikes to the pool or the corner drugstore for crinkle fries and a grilled cheese? Yeah, me too. These days, summer looks more like the usual chaos, only sweatier.
Still, I’m genuinely excited for what’s ahead, as Rose and I are hitting the road this week for a mini book tour:

While we’re sad to leave Joe behind, I know we’ll collect some unforgettable memories. I’m sure there will be meltdowns (mine and hers), but I’m hoping that by seeing it all through Rose’s eyes, I’ll soak up a bit of that childhood summer magic. The kind that makes everything feel brand new. Perhaps even reclaim a little of the joy, delight, and freedom that only summer brings.
And speaking of magic…I have one more thing to share before we take off.
Calling It Off is officially coming to your ears—the audiobook drops at the end of June!

Yes, as in finally.
Even if you’ve already read the book, I promise hearing it aloud brings a different kind of intimacy. There’s something special about being spoken to directly, particularly with a story this personal. At least that’s how it felt for me, narrating it.
My hope is that it brings a little summer fun back your way. Something to pop in your ears while driving, folding laundry, walking the dog, or just laying in the grass.

In the meantime, I’m heading back to my to-do list before summer whisks me away entirely.
