I was looking for a source of hope

As I wrote earlier this week, the whole idea for Calling It Off came down to the search for hope. So ultimately, hope is exactly what I want readers to take away from these pages.

I hope every person sees some part of themselves reflected in the book, and walks away braver, more empowered and more confident in trusting their gut, prioritizing themselves and pursuing the life they want.

After all, if I hadn’t trusted my gut, I wouldn’t have the chaotic, joyful, love-filled life I now share with my husband and daughter. I called it off, and not only did I get every single thing I wanted all along, but it turned out better than I could have ever imagined.

I am walking, talking proof of the messy but beautiful life that comes from stepping through fear. Heck, this book, and the community of outstanding people on this email are even greater evidence of the beautiful things that come through living authentically.

So if nothing else, may this story bring those who need it hope.
